It's a GUY Thing

Have you ever noticed? If there's a fireplace (with a fire) in the room — and a man — the man will go over to the fire and poke it to make sure it's done properly. (Honestly, I'll do the same thing!). But you can ALWAYS count on a guy to do this.

Similarly, if there's an elevator button that has been pushed, and a woman (especially a woman!) waiting for the elevator, the man will go over to the button and push it several times to make sure it's been PROPERLY pushed. You wouldn't want a woman driving one of those things!
